Island Rock Customs' custom-made hats are handcrafted according to each customer's wishes. You bring the idea – I design and turn it into a hat.

Whether you have a precise vision in mind or simply an idea of what kind of hat you would like, don't hesitate to get in touch. When it comes to designing a custom hat, the possibilities are almost endless.

1. Choose Your Material

The hats are available in three different material options:

100% Wool Felt – starting from €150

A durable and versatile option that works exceptionally well for a wide range of custom designs.

Rabbit Fur Felt – starting from €200

A softer and more refined felt option with a luxurious feel.

Beaver Fur Felt – starting from €400

A premium material offering an exceptionally fine feel, structure and finish.

The final price is determined by the material, hat style, details and amount of work required.

2. Tell Me What Kind of Hat You Want

Fill out the order form and describe your idea as freely as you like.

You can start with the colour, style and shape of the hat, but it's also worth including any details you may already have in mind.

Would you like your hat to feature, for example:

• a leather or other type of hatband

• a bandana or fabric details

• feathers or other decorative elements

• pendants, jewellery or metal hardware

• hand-painted details

• a distressed or vintage-inspired finish

• hand-burned details

• or something completely unique and outside the ordinary

The hats can also feature striking, hand-painted details, created by Jessika Elo (old7tattoo), who is also known as a tattoo artist.

With a custom hat, the sky is practically the limit. If you have an idea but aren't sure whether it can be done, feel free to ask. You don't need to have your ideas fully worked out into a finished design – we can develop them together.

Once I've received your message, I'll go through your ideas and provide you with a more detailed price estimate for creating the hat.

3. Measure Your Head Circumference

The right size is an important part of a well-fitting hat!

Measure around the widest part of your head. Place the measuring tape evenly around your head, but don't pull it too tight. The measurement should reflect the size you would like the hat to fit.

If you don't have a measuring tape, you can use a piece of string or yarn instead. Wrap it around your head, mark the point where the ends meet, and then measure the length of the string with a ruler or tape measure.

It's better to choose a slightly looser fit than one that is too tight.

For example, if your measurement is 57.2 cm, I recommend ordering a 58 cm hat.

It's easy to fine-tune the fit and make the hat slightly smaller using size-reducing strips placed underneath the leather sweatband. These are included with your order. A hat that is too tight, however, cannot be easily adjusted to make it larger.

4. Order & Production

Once the details, material, size and price have been agreed upon, your hat will be handcrafted specifically to your order.

The production time is approximately 3–4 weeks, depending on the materials and the current order queue.

Every hat is made individually – not mass-produced, but handcrafted one at a time.
